The Clymb review

Remember when I told you I got a $20 gift card to The Clymb in my Klutchclub a while bag?  You can read the Klutchclub review here.

The best part of this entire review is that the klutchclub box that this gift card came in was free. Yes, folks, FREE. I only had to pay the $8 for shipping.

So anyway, I went to the Clymb's website not knowing what to expect.  Their site is awesome.  They sell sporty things on the cheap.  And I do mean cheap.  Like at least 50% off everything I was looking at.  So I plugged in my gift card number and shopped.  I couldn't decide what I wanted at first so I didn't do anything for a day or two.  When I logged back on, suddenly I had a $25 credit from my gift card, not $20!  I was like, Oh yeah!  Mama's gonna got an extra $5!  And I don't even know how or why.  Must be because the Clymb is super rad.

So I ordered myself some Sherpani items and a nice shoe pouch to put my Nike Plus sensor in.  Take a look at the pics.  All this was free for me, it came to exactly $25 for the three items.  I paid like $7 in shipping and it arrived in a few days.  Awesome deal!  I was very happy with the Clymb and will shopping there again for sure!

Awesome deals from the Clymb, right??

ThredUp Review

So a few weeks ago, I sent some stuff to ThredUP.  In case you aren't familiar with ThredUP, they are an online consignment store.   They sent me big plastic shipping bags for free, I filled them up and sent them back to them.  I didn't have to pay a dime for postage.  They process the bags (which took a long time) and then give me payout amount.  I can either take the cash via paypal (available in 14 days after processed) or I can use it as store credit at ThredUP.

Only one of my bags has been processed.  The other bag is showing as "processing payout" so it should be any day now.

I sent them two bags.  And let me first start by saying that one bag was mostly young girls' clothes (sizes 6-12) and the other was primarily women's clothing.  I was going to be taking this stuff to the thrift store here in my town, and I did not put anything in the bags that I would be devastated to see a small profit for.  However, everything I did send to ThredUP was in good shape and would have been accepted by my local consignment store which I take things to often and they have a very good payout.

So, the first bag....they processed the bag with the girls' clothes.  They took only 12 items. I'm not sure how many things were in there, but the bags are big and it was stuffed full.  For the 12 items I am getting a payout of $7.70.  The brands included Old Navy, Lands End, Nike, Gymboree, etc.  I really wish I would have taken a picture of everything I sent in.

At our local consignment, I would have gotten at least $25 for these items, plus they would have taken all of the items in the bag.  However, I don't have to wait until the things sell on ThredUP before I can get the cash, I just have to wait 14 days.

I'm eager to see what I get for the other bag that's full of women's clothing. I'll be sure to let you know once I get word.

Overall, I'm disappointed with the payout from ThredUP, big time.  It was easy to send them stuff and since I was just going to take it to the thrift store anyway, I can't really complain.

Weekend Recap

We had a good weekend.  The weather was beautiful and not as hot as it has been.  Thank goodness.

Here's some pictures of our goings on.

Seriously, there's never a dull moment when MJ's around.  She is for sure the family clown!

I did some reorganizing of the kitchen cupboards.  Um, clearly it was time.

Before.

After.

Advocare Challenge Days 11 - 14

I haven't done an updated post on the Advocare 24-Day Challenge in a few days.  I am on day 4 of the second phase of the challenge.  When I purchased this challenge, I ordered the Max E supplement package.  The Max E is "Total Nutrition with Appetite Control".  The other two to choose from are focused on Core Nutrition with Energy, and a Comprehensive Weight Loss System.  I liked the idea of appetite control so I went with that one.  And let me tell you, I really think it's working.  It's been easier than it ever has been for me to eat the appropriate amount of food for me to lose weight.

I did do a wee bit of cheating this weekend but nothing crazy.  I went to a Mexican restaurant with a friend and ordered a veggie tostada.  No sour cream, hardly any cheese.  I only had a few chips with salsa (a miracle for me).  And a very small fro yo.  Sorry.

I'm going to weigh in again on Thursday and will hope for another couple pound weight loss.  I am definitely feeling better.  I really wasn't feeling good when I was eating so much junk food.  The clean eating has been key for me this time around.

I've really been enjoying the meal replacement shakes for breakfast.  I whip them up in a blender with ice and they are thick and yummy.  They keep me full for a couple hours, but I do need a snack between breakfast and lunch.

I'm happy with the Challenge so far and hopefully I won't have any more cheat days!

Friday Iphone Dump Day

I can finally be part of Jen's Friday Iphone Dump linkup because I now have an iphone!

Disclaimer:  I've only had the phone for a few days so there's not many pictures on it yet. And the ones that are on it were primarily take by 9-year-old MJ!

Yes, she's had a lot of fun with CamWow.  We had many, many laughs over some of these pictures!

MJ again. I'm laughing all over again just looking at these!

I couldn't show you the most horrendous pictures she took of me, I just couldn't do it, but I can share this one because it made me laugh so much!  Aren't I perty?

Ok, I couldn't eave you with that image of me so here's me looking like a normal person :)

Um, maybe I'll get my desk cleaned off today?

Gotta love Advocare 24-Day Challenge!

In case you don't have teenage girls, this is what they do when they take pictures of themselves. Every time.

Until their mom tells them not to so that she can get a good picture of her with her daughter.

We have Franklin, the 3rd grade classroom turtle at our house for a couple weeks.  He's a lot of fun.  Did you know turtles hiss?

MJ's looking much older than 9 here.  I don't love that.  But I love the picture.

Awesome HAUTELOOK Deal! Summer Beauty Bag

This is an awesome deal from Hautelook!  It's the Summer Beauty Bag and it's got awesome products at a great price!  It's only $20 for all this! There's 14 items in the Bag and you get a cute polka dot case with it.

I just had to share. It looks like a great deal!

Be sure to click here to go to their site and see if it's a must-have for you!

Friday Letters

This is my first Friday's Letters link up with The Sweet Seasons blog!

Dear Friday, It's so nice to see you again!  I've missed you.  Thank you for being pay day.

Dear Scale, I love you.  Usually I hate you, but since you told me I lost 6 pounds during 10 day cleanse portion of the 24-Day Challenge I started to rethink the way I feel about you.  For now.  I'm sure I'll hate you again soon, but for now you are alright.

Dear Weather, Thank you for the rain last night.  It was much appreciated by me.  I was really getting sick of the heat.

Dear Franklin, You are a real cute turtle.  Thank you for making MJ happy.  It's been real nice babysitting you for the past week.  I'm sorry your cage is so small. Next time we put you in the bath tub to walk around, you should actually walk around instead of trying to climb up the side and slipping back down AGAIN AND AGAIN.

Dear D, Thanks for helping out so much around the house while I'm at work. I do appreciate it. A lot.

Dear Car Door,  Why do you not want to stay unlocked?  Do you think it's fun watching us climb through the passenger seat just to get in and out??  I've never heard of a car door being stuck locked.  Please fix yourself.

Dear Lola, The only reason you got canned cat food today is because we are out of dry food and we happened to have a can of cat food that someone gave us.  That stuff stinks and it's disgusting and you'll never have it again. So I hope you enjoyed it.

Dear MJ, I loved your "show" last night to White and Nerdy.  You are the most awesome 9-year-old on the planet!

Thursday Thoughts

I'm linking up with Jen from Ramblings of a Suburban Mom today for Thursday Thoughts.

The challenge is going really well!  I weighed in today and lost 6 pounds during the first 10 days!  I'm super happy with that number.  I'm just now drinking my first meal replacement shake for breakfast.  It's actually quite good. Good thing as I'm having one for breakfast for the next 14 days.

I have a huge pile of stuff in my dining room that I really NEED to get listed on Ebay.  I'm having a real hard time finding motivation for that.  I like making the listings and watching them to see how they're doing, I just HATE shipping them out.  Hate it.

I've been watching some Extreme Couponing (I know, I'm exciting) and thought I'd try couponing a little.  I've used coupons in the past, sure, but I've never gotten anything for free.  The other day I went to Rite-Aid and synched up my coupons with the sales, and I am happy to report that I got one tube of toothpast for .19 cents.  I was stoked.  But how on earth do those people on that show buy a gazillion of one item?  I mean, seriously, I saw a lady buy (well, get free with coupons) 97 bottles of mustard and 127 bags of croutons. WHAT?  HOW? WHY? I can see stocking up on things my family eats, but that seems a tad bit over the top. And I don't understand how they do it, my coupons all say only one per visit, not 127 per visit.  I have a lot to learn in the coupon department.

I got these fun Victoria Secret coupons in the mail.  One is for a free pair of undies. FREE.  No purchase necessary.  The other is for $10 off a purchase, no minimum. Think I'll be checking out victoriasecret.com today!

Can anyone please tell me how to add a "follow on instagram" button on my blog using blogger?  I know there's a way, and I know if I googled it I would eventually figure it out, but it would be so much easier if someone just told me.  I can't find it in the "add a gadget" area.  Please help.

Advocare Day 10

I have completed the first part of the Advocare 24-Day Challenge!  The ten day cleanse part is over.  The eating is the same (although not quite as strict?) with the exception of a meal replacement shake for breakfast that you mix with cold water and can add fruit if you want.  They have a nondairy shake also.

So, the big news...I lost 6 pounds during the cleanse!  I am thrilled with that number.  I am feeling much better already.  Definitely more energy all around and feel less like poo.  My two-a-day Spark is really helping with energy levels.  And I still don't miss coffee. Amazing!

So for the shake, I've chosen just regular chocolate.  The choices were chocolate, chocolate mocha, berry or vanilla.  Chocolate mocha sounds good too, so do the others.  I wish there was a variety pack.

Part of this next phase in the challenge is taking multiple supplements each day.  They come in these handy strips of little packets (4 a day) and the outline you get with the kit tells you exactly when to take what.  When ordering, you can choose which "pack" you want.  The choices were MNS Max E, core nutrition with energy, MNS Max 3, a comprehensive weight loss system, or MNS Max C, core nutrition with appetite control.  I chose Max C for the appetite control.  Anything to help me not feel as hungry as I get a migraine every.single.time. I get hungry.  No joke.  It's such an inconvenience while trying to eat less to lose weight!

Here's a picture showing the outline, the meal replacement shake that I'm just about to make, and my supplements for the day.

Next 14 days of the Challenge......BRING IT!

PopSugar Must Have Review

My PopSugar Must Haves box arrived today!  I already knew what was in the box because I have been looking at the spoilers online, but I was still excited to see it in my mailbox!

First Look

Second first look.

At first I really did not like this Baublebar double chain necklace.  I liked the color right away, but it is a very heavy necklace and I usually like smaller daintier necklaces.  I did put it on just to see what it looked like and I actually liked it a lot.  I was surprised.  I hope to have somewhere to go dressed up wearing this necklace sometime soon.

I have absolutely no doubt in my mind that these dark chocolate all natural Cookie Chips are 100% delicious!  However, due to the fact that I am on day 10 of the Advocare 24-Day Challenge, I am going to TRY to not test them out.  I would no doubt eat the entire bag if I did.

I was very excited to hear that we were getting Supergoop sunscreen serum in our boxes!  I love Supergoop and use the spf 35 moisturizer daily.  This item alone is worth more than the box cost!

I love iced tea so I was excited to see this Might Leaf ginger peach iced tea in the box! I love the combinatio of peach and ginger.  I'll definitely be whipping up a batch of this today!

This Tovolo King Cube Tray is fun.  It's silicone, which I really like and it makes giant ice cubes.  Perfect for keeping your drink colder longer on a hot day.  I've never had a giant ice cube tray before so I'm   happy to try it out.

All in all, I'm very excited about this PopSugar Must Haves box!  Like I mentioned earlier, it's $35 per month per box and the items are chosen by the PopSugar editors.  It's a great way to try out new items at great deals.

And next month is going to be the Anniversary Box and we've already seen a spoiler for the fabulous Gorjana Griffin circle necklace that looks awesome (picture below)!  It's got a value of $65 so I know the August box is going to be awesome!  Click here to order yours and use the code "REFER5" to get $5 off your first PopSugar Must Haves box!!

AUGUST SPOILER

So What Wednesday

Since it's Wednesday, and since I like link-ups, I'm going to link up with Life After I Dew for a So What Wednesday Post.

This week I'm saying so what to:

- The fact that I just fnished unpackig my suitcase from my vacation.  We got back on June 30th.  I HATE unpacking.

- That I gagged every. single. morning. on my fiber drink (Advocare 24-Day Challenge).  I got it down, didn't I?

- That I really need to dye my hair....so much grey.  Tonight. I will do it tonight.

- That I like to listen to Taylor Swift music.  Originaly I tolerated it for my 13-year-old daughter's sake, but turns out I like her. And I'm not ashamed.

- That I bougt a bad watermelon last night and I want to take it back.  Is that acceptable?  To return food to the grocery store?  It was expensive (ok, $6 but still) and I REALLY wanted a watermelon.  It was all dried and gross inside. Remember the turkey on Christmas Vacation? Yeah, that's what the watermelon is like inside.

- That I wish I was getting ready for another vacation.  Don't get me wrong, I'm thankful that we got to go to the coast for a week, but I have discovered that life is more fun whilst planning a vaction.

- That I just got my first iphone.  And Instagram account.  And I'm excited about it.

Advocare Day 9

Today is day 10 of the Advocare 24-Day Challenge!!

Day 9 went really well.  I was craving something sweet last night big time but didn't give in!  I'm beginning to think I'm a whole new person!

I even got up at 5:00 and went to the gym before work!  I know!  I did 20 minutes on the treadmill, day  of the Couch 2 5K program.  It felt good to work out.  It's been a while.  I'm also going on a walk with a friend after work today.

I'm so glad to be about done with the fiber drink!  I did not get used to it at all!  I drank it, though.

In other news, I'm hoping to get my first-ever (for me) Pop Sugar Must Haves box in the mail, hopefully today.  And speaking of Popsugar, I got this nice spoiler in my email yesterday.  One of these Gorjana and Griffin open circle necklace will be in every Popsugar box next month!  This necklace itself has a $65 value.  The cost of the box is $35 so I'm thinking it's going to be an AWESOME box.  And I love that necklace!

Apparently PopSugar's anniversary box will be in August.  I kept reading that it was in July's box, which is my first one from them.  I was disappointed by the spoilers I saw for the July box, so I'm looking forward to next month's box for sure.

Glossybox Review

So, my June Glossybox finally arrived.  That's right, JUNE.  I'm not sure what took it so long to get to me.  I was irritated at first, but then when I opened up the box, I forgave them.

This box is the cutest ever.  It has Dallas Shaw on the front and I love it.

I do like reading through the magazine that Glossybox sends each month.

First look.  It's like a gift every month.

First look under the tissue.

Information card.  As always, there was a card with info on all the products inside the box.

First thing is this Philip B leave in conditioner.  This is a nice sized sample and I will get several uses out of it.  I love leave-in conditioners so I'm excited to try this one.

I love this honey almond dry oil spray from C. Booth!  It smells sooooooo good and isn't all oily.  It will definitely become one of my favorites, I'm sure!

This is my favorite packaging of any lipstick I've ever had.  And I love the look of the actual lipstick itself!  I've never tried Tarte lipstick but I will give this one a whirl.  I don't usually wear lipstick, only lip gloss, but I am really hoping this isn't too pink for me as I would love to use it!

I love this little black satiny pouch full of Oscar De La Renta perfume samples!  I love perfume and was really excited to see these in there!  A few of them smell a bit too "mature" for me, if you know what I mean, but I do love a few of them.  And I just the cuteness of them all!

I LOVE this Spartual nail polish!  I've never actually heard of this brand but I'm sure it's great.  And I love, love, love the color.  I do not have any nail polish like this one so I'm excited to try a new color.

Here's a look at all of it.  Even though it was super late to get to me, I'm actually very happy with this last month's Glossybox!!

If you don't subscribe to Glossybox, you totally should.  It's $22 a month and totally worth it.  I mean, look at the cute box with the cute inside design!  And all the products!
