The challenge is going really well!  I weighed in today and lost 6 pounds during the first 10 days!  I'm super happy with that number.  I'm just now drinking my first meal replacement shake for breakfast.  It's actually quite good. Good thing as I'm having one for breakfast for the next 14 days.

I have a huge pile of stuff in my dining room that I really NEED to get listed on Ebay.  I'm having a real hard time finding motivation for that.  I like making the listings and watching them to see how they're doing, I just HATE shipping them out.  Hate it.

I've been watching some Extreme Couponing (I know, I'm exciting) and thought I'd try couponing a little.  I've used coupons in the past, sure, but I've never gotten anything for free.  The other day I went to Rite-Aid and synched up my coupons with the sales, and I am happy to report that I got one tube of toothpast for .19 cents.  I was stoked.  But how on earth do those people on that show buy a gazillion of one item?  I mean, seriously, I saw a lady buy (well, get free with coupons) 97 bottles of mustard and 127 bags of croutons. WHAT?  HOW? WHY? I can see stocking up on things my family eats, but that seems a tad bit over the top. And I don't understand how they do it, my coupons all say only one per visit, not 127 per visit.  I have a lot to learn in the coupon department.

I got these fun Victoria Secret coupons in the mail.  One is for a free pair of undies. FREE.  No purchase necessary.  The other is for $10 off a purchase, no minimum. Think I'll be checking out victoriasecret.com today!

Can anyone please tell me how to add a "follow on instagram" button on my blog using blogger?  I know there's a way, and I know if I googled it I would eventually figure it out, but it would be so much easier if someone just told me.  I can't find it in the "add a gadget" area.  Please help.

Happy Fourth!!!  I'm linking up with Jen this morning for Thursday Thoughts!

I have big news....I ordered my very first iphone yesterday!  I know, I KNOW! Where have I been, right?  I'm always behind the times on everything, and usually I don't even care.  I don't keep up with celebreties, I don't have a clue as to what the latest fashions are, I don't usually read magazines like People (although I always enjoy them when I do!) and we just got internet a couple months ago after not having it for three years.  Seriously.  So, an iphone is HUGE for me and I am excited!!!  If you have any cool apps that I should know about, PLEASE tell me!  I'm new, people, brand new!

I'm glad it's the 4th and all, and I appreciate living in our beautiful, awesome country, but I hate the 4th in my town...and at my work. Living in a resort town, things get wild here on the 4th.  There's a gazillion people in our small 2-stop-light town and the grocery stores are a total mad house.  My work is a zoo with customers and I'm not able to get my already-backed-up office manager/bookeeper work done as I have to work at the front counter helping customers.  And it's flipping HOT!  And not much air conditioning here in this town.  So, a bit miserable to be honest.  I know I'll enjoy things more tonight as I sit with my kids and watch the fireworks over the lake. Always a beautiful sight!

I'm hoping to get some vacation pictures posted soon.  I'm wishing we were still on vacation! 

I wish I knew what the unspoken blogging rules are.  I mean, if I copy someone's idea (who probably copied someone else) is it rude?  Is it flattering?  I read so many blogs, and love so many blogs, and sometimes I see a post and think, "how fun! I would love to do a post like that" and then I get nervous to do it because I don't want to be a copycat (what am I in 3rd grade?).  So please tell me if you have an opinion on such a thing.

I didn't (and still don't) know what google reader is.  Does that matter? Do I need to know what is now gone?  And I don't know what replaced it.  Do I need to know that?

So, my blogs is still pretty new.  I have a personal blog where I post a lot of pictures of my family and stuff, but I wanted a new, different, blog for other things such as reviews, crafts, recipes, Advocare, etc. and not bore my grandparents and the like to death who just want to see pictures of my fam (ok, let's be honest, they only want to see pics of the kdis).  I, for some unknown reason, named my blog Nazys News.  Nazy was a silly nickname that people called me when I was little.  It was sometimes just Nazy, or Nae Nae, or Nazy Poo or Lazy Nazy.  It is not fitting for me now at this point in my life, not that it was ever really fitting.  And I have no idea why I reverted back to my toddler years and named my blog Nazy's News.  My real name is Linae and couldn't come up with a clever blog name that had my real name in it.  I've got to change the blog name.  Any suggestions?

Gee, this whole post makes me sound a bit "off" in every way.  Maybe I am :)

Thursday Thoughts

Good morning, all!  I'm liking up with Jen again for a Thursday Thoughts post.  I love link ups!

I can NOT wait until Friday.  I will leave work and will not return for nine days!  That's right...an entire week off for me!  We are headed to the Oregon Coast.  I don't even care if it rains. I just want to spend time with the hubs and kids.  And I want to nap.  A lot.  And read a book.  And watch movies. And walk on the beach.  And fly a kite.  And eat a bunch. Because when I return, I am starting the 24-Day Challenge.  Mmmm Hmmmm.  Mama's gonna get in shape, ya'll!

So, I sent in my ThredUp bags the other day and I already got an email saying they got them! This email came in yesterday.  I could not believe how fast it was to hear back from them.  They did say they are experiencing high volume of bags so there could be a wait of up to 3 weeks to go through it and give me a payout, but I don't think that's a big deal...especially since the communication has bee great thus far.
I can not believe it's already June 20th.  Every year the summer seems to FLY by.  This year is no exception.  I woke up in the middle of the night to pouring down rain and thunder.  Does anyone else love a good summer storm?  My enjoyment of listening to it was halted when I laid in bed at 3:00 am worried that I left my car windows open.  Don't worry, I didn't.  But I have in the past and it sucks.  I grew up in Seattle and, well, it rains once in a while there, and I can remember time after time (do I never learn anything?) getting in my car to soaking wet seats and musty smell.  Sure, I sat on a towel or two, but you always end up with a wet bottom.

I am tired of Rite-Aid.  I wish I could go to a Target or Walmart or Fred Meyer.  A Costco would be nice, so would a mall.  And I would give about anything to go to a craft store.  Living in the mountains is beautiful and peaceful, but being 2 hours away from a city is a bit much sometimes.

I wish I would start doing some of the pinterest crafts I keep pinning.  I spend a lot of time looking at what other people do, sure would be nice if I was one of "those" people.  I know I am capable of at least some of it.

I finally found a good moisturizer to use under my makeup that doesn't make my face all shiny and oily.  Supergoop is awesome stuff!  It's on the expensive side, for me anyway, but this was an item I got in one of my Little Black Bags...I traded something or other for it and I'm real glad I did!

Guess that's it for me.  For now.

Thursday Thoughts with Ramblings of a Suburban Mom

So happy to be doing my second link up!  Too bad I don't know how to add the button with the link attached....I figured out how to do it if there's html code with the button.  If anyone at all can help me out that would be awesome.  Clearly I'm "new".

Since ThredUp seems to be a common topic amongst bloggers in this link up, I think I'll share that I ordered a bag a few days ago.  Hopefully it will arrive soon.  The bag was free to order, and then I fill it with quality gently-used items and send it back to them.  The best part? The shipping is FREE for me!  They pay shipping for the bags full of clothing.  Everyone else, it seems, has been doing reviews on little kids' clothing. When mine were babies and toddlers I did a LOT of consignment shopping.  I still do, but now that they are older and wear through their clothes more, I don't find quite as many deals.  I'm thinking I'll send in some of my clothes and do a review on ladies' items.  Maybe I'll send a few pieces of my girls' clothes to (they are 9 and 13).  I'm not sure how big the bag is that I ordered...

I am looking forward to our "girls" weekend this weekend!  The boys will be gone so it's just me and my girls.  We love our special nights together with movies, junk food, nail polish, sleeping in my bed with me, staying up late, etc.  So looking forward to it!

I am really loving Starbucks Refreshers!  Just add the powedered packet into 16 oz of water.  I've been having one every afternoon at work.  It's such a great pick-me-up and the flavors are great!

Tomorrow is payday (woot woot) which means I will get to order my Advocare 24-Day Challenge kit!  I'm going to start on July 1st, after my much awaited vaca to the coast!  I'm so excited for this challenge.  I could use a good cleansing detox and clean eating!  I have been really out of control lately.  Sad face.  I've heard great things about this challenge and can't wait to start!!!!
